• Follow the advice of God

"Blessed is the man who does not walk according to the counsel of the wicked, who does not stop in the way of sinners, and who does not sit with mockers ..." Psalm 1.1

"A kilometer on foot, it uses, it uses ... a kilometer on foot, it uses the shoes !" Who never "beat the pavement" thinking of this song !

The Christian life is like a march.

To succeed in your Christian life, God has left you wonderful counselors :

His Holy Spirit. Jesus said : "When the Comforter is come, the Spirit of truth, he will lead you into all truth." (John 16:13) You can ask him for advice, he will answer you.

His word. God speaks through His Word. Read the Bible and let it guide you. Psalm 119.9 says : "How will the young man make his path clean ? Going forth from your Word."

His faithful servants. Maybe you were disappointed by a "bad" servant, and I'm sorry. I know it can be very difficult. Yet there are good servants to whom Jesus will say, "It is good, faithful and faithful servant, you have been faithful in a few things, I will entrust much to you, enter into the joy of your master." (Matthew 25:23) The Bible declares that "salvation is in the great number of counselors" (Proverbs 11:14).

By the way, have you noticed the progression in this text ? First of all the person walks (according to a bad advice), then, she stops and finally she sits down. And after sitting down, what does she do ? She finds herself in the company of mockers !

Mockers are those who criticize, lower, devalue, always see the glass half empty, are negative and defeatist. They are easily recognizable, because they like to judge and not bless.

As much as it depends on you, avoid their company. If you can do it, then, avoid believing what they are saying and letting their negative sayings affect your life. Do not let the mockery tear you down. It is also that, not to sit with the mockers.

God, he will never laugh at you. On the contrary, He says well of you : "Have you seen my servant, my servant ?" (Job 1.8) He is proud of his child, that you are. It is he you must believe. Stay focused on what he thinks of you and walk, staring at him.

    A prayer for today

Lord, I thank you that you do not leave me alone : I have with you your Word, your Holy Spirit and your faithful counselors, to accompany me and help me walk on the right path. Thank you for the positive things you think of me: this is what I want to be attentive to, throughout the day.
