"Lord, it is good that we are here" (Mark 9.5).



Being in this place, at this moment, with these shining characters, caused such happiness in the heart of Peter he exclaims : "It is good that we are here. "
Sometimes the service to God present constraints, it may be accompanied by disappointments, frustrations, and even tears. But while the disciples with Jesus transfigured, this is happiness ! If you're like me, you must love these moments of happiness !
But to be there, they had to climb the mountain, they had to leave very early, before sunrise. They had to leave the plain the other disciples. They had responded to the invitation of Jesus when he chose them. Without this positive response to the Lord's choice, without this separation from their friends, without the ascent, they would not have had this wonderful experience. They decided to follow the master.
This event reminds us that to be in the right place, it is essential to follow Jesus, answer his call to leave out certain fasteners, and climb the mountain. Rise above the noise down here, and look for God's presence, will enable us to find ourselves in the right place. There, we receive a new revelation of God and his plan for our lives.

It was on Mount Sinai that God speaks to Moses and gave him the tablets of the law.

So Elijah fled from Jezebel, he was exhausted, thirsty in the desert, God will address the question : "What are you doing here Elijah ? "(1 Kings 19.9). It is as if God wanted to take to realize, at this moment, perhaps Elie was not spiritually and morally speaking, where it should have been. Indeed, Elijah was in discouragement, in withdrawal, in self pity. This can happen to you as happened to me. God does not condemn us, he loves us enough to get us back on track. This he did for Elijah, he gives her the strength to continue the road up the mountain. The message of God means : "Do not stay here, get out of your discouragement, take forces, goes to Mount Horeb where you have new revelations ; I await you there to reveal to you the important things for your ministry and for Israel."
