    I survived

Calls to me when you are in distress : I will deliver you, and you honor me. Psalm 50.14

"I can boast of having survived after spending on a train," said 77-year-old Portuguese.

Crossing the railway near his house, in northern Portugal, she slipped and fails to get up because of her arthritis. She waited vainly that someone passes. A train approached. She lay down on the way.

"I started to pray," she says.

And the train has not even scratched it. The driver came to extract him from underneath a wagon. But we can not even say that she pulled with fear... God had heard her prayer, so short-her.

Is there not a powerful encouragement to us ? However, we must keep us to appeal to God in time of distress, to launch a S.O.s only when the danger may lead us to death. For God to take us seriously, when we appeal to him, let's start by taking it seriously. Let's put in him all our faith, let's say our gratitude for his benefits, and let us hold the promises we have made. So, at the times when misfortune will melt on us, he will deliver us when we call himself. Is not it that he intervened in favor of this woman who did not doubt him ?

The Bible tells us this prayer of a believer : none of those who hope in you will be covered with shame. (Psalm 25.3)
