Listen to God speak

The words of the Lord are pure words, silver refined in a clay crucible and seven times purified. Psalm 12.7

Although the whole universe bears witness to divine wisdom and power, this is not enough to give man the knowledge of God and of his will for the salvation of his soul... Therefore, to the descendants of Abraham first, then to the whole world, it pleased God to make himself known in different ways. Finally, two thousand years ago, God became incarnate in Christ Jesus to announce his will to mankind. In order for it to be rooted and propagated, God made sure that it was fully written down by men whom he guided by his Spirit to do so.

It is therefore necessary to read the Bible to know God and his will. "The authority of the text depends, not on the testimony of a man or of a Church, but entirely on God who is the Truth itself (Westminster Confession of Faith, 1.4)" From the book of Genesis to the of Revelation, the Bible reveals the immutable character of God and the identity of Jesus Christ as the unique and indispensable way leading to the salvation of man. From A to Z, the nature and consistency of its content authenticate God as its author. The Bible is to be received not as the word of men, but, as it really is, as the word of God (1 Thessalonians 2:13). Whoever consults it listens to God speaking !
