Passionately in love

February 14, the traditional Valentine's Day, is a day of celebration and sharing. This year, on this very special day, as I noticed the excitement at a florist near my workplace, I thought about the immeasurable love of my God for me. God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16).

What an extraordinary gift of self! What a miracle of perfect Love to the point of suffering in my place and bearing my sins...

When Jesus cried out on the cross before dying : It is finished (John 19:30), these few words that he had the strength to utter despite his agony were a wonderful confession of his compassion for every human being.

Today, as we celebrate the Feast of Love throughout the world, stop your eyes and thoughts for a few moments on the faithfulness of your Heavenly Father in Jesus Christ, and tell Him, perhaps for the first time times : “Thank you Lord Jesus for your life given, I love you”.

May this day of February 14, 2024 be first and foremost a blessed moment of deep communion with your Creator and Savior, Jesus Christ !
