Ready for this ?

Luke 15:4 – Which of you, if he has a hundred sheep and loses one, does not leave the other ninety and nine in the wilderness and go in search of the one that is lost until that he found her ?

I would like us, servants of God, to take an example from the Lord’s way of doing things ! And to illustrate the approach of the Lord Jesus, we could reflect on the story of the Gerasene. Jesus was surrounded by a crowd who listened attentively to his preaching. However, He commands his disciples to cross to the other side of the lake. He himself is very tired since he will sleep deeply during this crossing while a storm rages. Arriving on the other side, He will free a man from his demons, a great miracle and yet, the inhabitants will beg him to leave. We can say with certainty that He only touched one person on this journey. When He crosses the lake again, He will find a crowd waiting impatiently for Him.

This story is the most beautiful example of the Good Shepherd who goes looking for a single lost sheep in the night. My beloved, can we think further to examine our own behavior ? Who among us would leave a large crowd, which drinks in our words, to go after a single person ? If we had two invitations to minister at the same time, one 1,000 people in a large room and the other 5 people in a house, who would choose the house ? Or at least who would seek the face of the Lord to know where he should go ? Can we answer this question honestly ?

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, the importance is not the number, but the divine appointment! Despite a super busy schedule, the Lord knew how to make time for the individual. I would like to honor pastors who give their all for a very small community. Having attended pastoral services, I know that the question that often arises is : “How many members do you have in your community ?”. Frustration for those who announce a number below 3 digits. My brothers, you will be rewarded according to your faithfulness, not according to the number. Just one to rescue is worth traveling many kilometers despite fatigue and devoting yourself entirely to this task.
