• Recognize our sin

By the blood of Jesus, all my sins are forgiven.

In Psalm 32, King David speaks of his personal experience :

"As long as I did, my bones burned, I groaned all day long ; for night and day your hand was looming over me, my vigor was dry, like that of summer. I have made known to you my sin, I have not hidden my iniquity ; I said, I will confess my transgressions to the LORD. And you have erased the pain of my sin." (Verses 3-5 Segond)

I think that when David wrote this, he was referring to the case of Bathsheba, the wife of Uri the Hittite. It was a terrible situation in which David committed adultery, then murder to cover it. David looked, of course, to most of us. For a long time, he refused to face the reality of his sin. He had tried to ignore it.

In the following verses, David talks about his personal involvement:

"So let every godly man pray to you in due time ! If great waters overflow, they will not reach it at all. You are an asylum for me, you guarantee me of distress, you surround me with songs of deliverance." (Verses 6-7 Segond)

It is never too late to confess one's sins to God and seek refuge in salvation. He will deliver us from our sins if we only recognize them and repent of them.

    Prayer of the day :

Thank you Lord for the blood of Jesus. I proclaim that because I confess without hesitation any sin that I may have tried to conceal, you have forgiven my guilt. You protect me from difficulty and surround me with deliverance. By the blood of Jesus, all my sins are forgiven. Amen.
