God in these last days has spoken to us through the Son (Jesus Christ). He established him as heir to everything and it was also through him that he created the universe. The Son is the reflection of his glory and the expression of his person, he supports everything with his powerful word. Hebrews 1. 2, 3

The excellence of the Son of God

This verse mentions some titles of Jesus Christ :

- "The Son" : After having spoken by means of the prophets, throughout the history related in the Old Testament, God addressed himself directly to men by means of his Son. He is "the Word" the full and definitive revelation of God.

- "Heir of all things" : God, in his eternal plans, had planned to place all that is created under the authority of his Son. "The Father loves the Son and has placed everything in his hands" (John 3:35). The world is his by divine decree, and he will reign in it someday.

- "Creator of the universe" : It is through his Son that God created the universe. The creative power is in him, the craftsman of creation: "Everything was created by him and for him. He exists first of all" (Colossians 1:16,17).

- "The reflection of his glory and the expression of his person" : The reflection of the majesty of God the brilliance of his perfections, reach us through his Son. As the imprint of a stamp shows the smallest detail, Christ is the exact and complete representation of the very nature of God. "He who has seen me has seen the Father" said Jesus (John 14. 9).

- "He supports everything with his powerful word" : Not only "everything was created by him", but "everything subsists in him" (Colossians 1:16, 17). By his powerful word, he supports the universe and the fact of subsisting according to the eternal plans, for example our breathing of every moment.

He is worthy to receive, power, wealth, wisdom, strength, honor, glory and praise ! (Revelation 5:12).
