By the blood of Jesus, I am delivered from the hand of the devil.

We have been delivered, or redeemed, from our old way of life, bad and without God; the claws of satan, the condemnation of sin and our vulnerability to the attacks of the devourer and the destroyer. But how were we redeemed ?

"Knowing that it is not by perishable things, by money, or by gold, that you have been redeemed from the vain way of life which you inherited from your fathers, but by the precious blood of Christ like a lamb without blemish and without blemish." (1 Peter 1: 18-19)

We are redeemed by the precious blood of Jesus Christ, without blemish, without original sin, without stain, without personal sin, the lamb of God without sin, who has taken away the sin of the world. It is only through his blood that we are redeemed. No amount of money, of any kind, could pay the price of our redemption.

Prayer of the day :

Thank you Lord for the blood of Jesus. I proclaim that Jesus, the Lamb of God without sin, has taken away my sins. By the blood of Jesus, I am delivered from the hand of the devil. Amen.
