• The measure of his love

I confess that Satan has no power over me, because the Word of God says that the blood of Jesus has redeemed me completely.

On the day of great forgiveness, the blood of the sacrifices was to be sprinkled seven times before God the Father (see Leviticus 16:14). We see this rule perfectly applied in the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross in the New Testament.

First, his sweat became blood. Secondly, the Roman soldiers hit him in the face with their fists and with yards. Third, they flogged him with a Roman scourge. Fourth, his beard was torn off. Fifth, thorns were sunk into his skull. Sixth, his hands and feet were pierced by nails. Seventh, his side was pierced with a spear.

This is the measure of Christ's love. It literally cost him everything he had. He did not just give up his glory, his throne, and his majesty as God. He did not just give up the few possessions he had as a man on earth. He gave himself. It is his own life that he has spread through his blood as the price of redemption. Think about this overwhelming reality and know that it is the measure of the love of God. She is extravagant, to say the least.

    Prayer of the day :

Thank you Lord for the blood of Jesus. I proclaim that he gave all he had, that he shed his whole life, that I might be free from sin. I confess that Satan has no power over me, because the Word of God says that the blood of Jesus has redeemed me completely. Amen.
