“God lives all that it had done, and here, that was very good. And it evening ago, and morning ago : the sixth day.” Genesis 1. 31

In the history of humanity, we can distinguish :

– six evenings, when all seems lost because of the man,

– six mornings during which the grace and the kindness of God make reappear the hope, not counting the morning which will introduce the state eternal.

At the beginning, God creates all things well. The man is in the garden of Eden, in perfect harmony with God. What a beautiful first morning ! But the first evening does not delay : the sin enters the world by disobedience, that is to say the insult of a lack of confidence in the love of god. Which evening: one night major !

After this so sad evening, a second day appears : God makes shine his love and his grace. On the one hand, he promises to the woman that her descent (Christ) will crush the head of the snake and, on the other hand, he covers the first couple of clothes made with the skin of a victim. Then a second evening fall on the world: because of the spite of the men, of their violence and their corruption, God sends the flood. One evening very black for the men who perish!

Then the grace of God intervenes, a third day rises. Saved Noah and his family of water leave the arch on a purified ground. A furnace bridge with the Eternal is built, of the holocausts are offered, a pleasant odor goes up towards God who commits himself not destroying humanity by water more.

Then God causes for him witnesses in the world : Abraham and his descent. But the people of Israel sin against the Eternal in spite of the good Law that it gave him by Moses. The pilot people of God are off-set, the light which it was to bring disappears. It is really an evening for the world. This evening is prolonged even after the return of a small portion of the two tribes, Juda and Benjamin, because the people are under the domination of the nations.

But God makes raise a fourth day when, in a crib, a new-born baby is deposited, the Son of the Almighty, the promised Messiah. The angels rent God : “Glory with God in the very high places ; and on the ground, peace ; and good pleasure in the men !” (Luke 2. 14). What a divine grace !
