“A man of noble birth went in a country moved away, to receive a kingdom and to return. He called ten of his slaves, gave them ten mines and tells them : Make bear fruit them until I return.” Luke 19. 12.13
The Lord is in the sky but it returns soon. For the time of its absence, it leaves us a mission: to work for him, to put forward for its account what he entrusted to us: our manual intellectual abilities or, our health, our time, our money, etc Let us be thus dedicated to serve it, until it comes, according to the instructions that it left us. Here are three:
– “Peter, the indicator, known as in Jesus : Lord, and this one, which will arrive to him ? Jesus tells him : If I want that it remains until I come, that is essential you ? , Am to you me” (Jean 21. 21.22).
With each one its responsibility ! Let us not be anxious concerning what the Lord entrusts to our brother or to our sister. Let us achieve our task while letting to us lead by the Lord. Let us cultivate for that a relation intimates with him.
– “Thus take care ; because you do not know when the host comes in the evening or at midnight, or with the song of the cock, or the morning ; for fear arriving suddenly it does not find you deadened. However what I tell you, with you, I say it to al l: Take care” (Marc 13. 35-37).
In this world, the spiritual night is deep. In this environment, the danger is large for all the believers to fall asleep and, consequently, not to conclude the mission entrusted by the Master. The instruction is thus to remain awaked ; however not to fall asleep, the best means, it is to be occupied with something of enthralling.
– “Because all the times that you eat this bread and that you drink the cut, you announce the death of the Lord until it comes” (1 Horn. 11. 26).
Isn't this enthralling to work for somebody who loves you ? However, each time I take the Holy Communion, the Word recalls me : “The Son of God liked me and delivered itself for me” (Gall. 2. 20). Can it exist a greater love to justify me to serve it ?
