• Are you a witness in your city

We often hope that God will act in two ways : either by sending a supernatural shedding of His Holy Spirit to draw multitudes into His kingdom, or by sending judgment to force people to kneel or even to destroy them. But beloved, this is not the method God uses to change things in bad times. His way of rebuilding on ruins has always been to use ordinary men and women whom he had touched. And He does it by filling them with His Holy Spirit and sending them to battle with great faith and great power ! "And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit" (Acts 2: 4).

You are the witness of God in your city ! He uses ordinary people who spend time with Him, who seek Him in prayer, who pour out their hearts and who come out to fill with the Holy Spirit, faith and power. If God does not use you, it may be because you did not make yourself available. This happens when believers remain to contemplate His glory rather than prepare to be used.

The disciples bathed in glory when Jesus went back to Heaven. They could have stayed there forever, enjoying the warm light, but the angel of the Lord took them back : "Why do you stop looking in heaven ?" (Acts 1:11). There was a lot of preparation and tasks to do. "Then they returned to Jerusalem... they went up to the upper room... All with one accord persevered in prayer" (Acts 1: 12-14).

When you have finished seeking God, you can stand confidently with your colleagues, your family, anyone, and your testimony will provoke one of these two reactions : sincere repentance or anger. Be that as it may, by the power of the Holy Spirit you will be able to give them a word that will touch their hearts.

Go with the power of the Holy Spirit to bring the light of Jesus wherever you go.
