• God will guard you against the enemy

"They come near, those who pursue the crime, they move away from the law. You are near, ô Lord ! And all your commandments are the truth" (Psalm 119: 150-151).

There is a glorious truth in this passage, a truth that can change your life, bring you peace and rest beyond all that you have experienced. You see, once you understand the truth of God's constant closeness to you - that He loves you and He is always with you - all fear and anxiety are gone !

In this text, David sees the wicked approaching closer and closer, in an attempt to ruin it and destroy it. He says : "Vile, corrupt, scheming sinners are here to destroy me completely and they are getting closer to me. They are all around me and their power is increasing."

We all have a similar enemy - the Enemy of our souls, the devil. He has always had one purpose : to destroy the works of God, to seduce and discourage His people.

Satan will not be satisfied until he has seen the ruin and fall of all the ministries that come from God, all the churches, and all those who love Jesus. The evil spirits of Satan are not simple little devils who walk around making life miserable. No, Satan's goal is much more serious. He is fully striving for the total destruction of the Church of Jesus Christ. Its ultimate goal is to destroy us and leave nothing but a memory.

The purpose of the devil was obvious, even with Jesus. He has daringly tried to tempt the Son of God. Satan will try all that is in his power to destroy all that is right and holy. And he never stops! He always has a plan straight out of hell.

What you are going through right now is common to multitudes. How good it is to know that God is more prepared to keep His promises to you than the devil is to ruin you. Indeed, the closer the enemy approaches, the nearer the Lord is !
