• In security in the love of God

Many Christians speak of intimacy with the Lord, to walk with Him, to know Him, to have fellowship with Him. But we can not have a true communion with God unless we receive in our hearts a full revelation of His love, mercy, and grace.

Communion with God consists of two things: to receive the love of the Father and to love him in return. To be certain of one's love is the first step. You can spend hours each day praying how much you love the Lord, but if you have not received His love, you do not have fellowship with Him.

The psalmist encourages us : "Enter his gates with praise, in his courts with hymns !" (Psalms 100: 4). He goes on to show us who the God is to whom we must go : "For the Lord is good ; his goodness endures forever, and his faithfulness from generation to generation" (verse 5).

Too many people feel that God is a character require, with full of angry attitude, waiting for us to fail to be able to say : "I got you !" But our Heavenly Father has revealed himself as good, tender full of grace and mercy, eager to take away our worries and burdens.

The prophet Zephaniah writes about the incredible love God has for us : "The Lord your God is in your midst, like a saving hero ; He will make you his greatest joy ; He will keep silence in his love ; He will have for you transports of gladness" (3:17).

You can come to Him with praise and thanksgiving because you are fully grateful who God is. In spite of all your weaknesses and failures, your Heavenly Father cares about everything you go through.

Do not live in fear and despair with little or no hope. Ask the Lord to help you to grasp the truth of His love for you and seize this love by faith.
