• The Blessing of Forginevess

"One to another, be good, compassionate, forgiving one another, as God also, in Christ, has forgiven you." Ephesians 4: 32

Forgiving others, it makes us resemble God our Father : "You are a God of pardons, giving grace, and merciful, slow to anger, and great in kindness, and you have not forsaken them." (Neh. 9. 17). Illustration : the parable of the prodigal son (Luke 15: 11-32).

    - To forgive others, it opens the heart of God to forgive us. If we adopt a harsh and rancorous attitude towards anyone, do not expect us to listen to God and hear us. We must forgive if we want to be forgiven. The refusal to forgive interrupts communion with the Father who is in heaven and prevents the blessing from spreading. Verse to read : Matt. 6. 14.

    - Forgiving others, it helps us understand the infinity of God's forgiveness. If we have truly understood God's forgiveness, we will make the right connection between the enormous debt that has been given to us and the small debts that we are paying back. Those who have received so much forgiveness can not refuse to forgive the sins committed against them. Text to be read : the parable of the ruthless slave (Matt 18: 21-35).

    - Forgiving others, allows us to worship God in truth. Verses to read : Matt. 5. 23, 24.

    - To forgive others is to frustrate the wiles of Satan and to keep the unity of the children of God. Text to be read : 2 Cor. 2. 5-11

    - To forgive others is to make possible communion with God and, consequently, communion among believers.

Forgiveness brings joy and peace ; He re-establishes the relations between God and the believers, and among the believers themselves : "Put on, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, with merciful affection, goodness, humility, Of patience, supporting one another and forgiving one another, if one has a subject of complaint against another ; As Christ has forgiven you, you also do the same. Pardisus all this, put on love, which is the bond of perfection "(Col. 3: 12-14).

Are there limits to forgiveness ? No ! Whether my approach is successful or not, I must forgive.
