Sur le chemin de la guérison !

Psaumes 30.11 - Tu as changé mes lamentations en allégresse, tu as délié mon sac, et tu m’as ceint de joie.

Tout dernièrement, je vous partageais qu’il y a des chemins de croix dans nos vies et je vous invitais à persévérer car au bout de ce chemin se trouve la victoire. Aujourd’hui, j’aimerais parler avec vous de ce cheminement vers la victoire qui, ne l’oublions pas, a déjà été remportée à Golgotha. S’il y a des vallées, il y a aussi des sommets.

Sur ce chemin de guérison, le Seigneur nous donne également de reprendre ce que l’ennemi nous a volé dans la vallée même si ce chemin est plus ou moins long. Cependant, je crois qu’il y a certaines choses que le Seigneur désire nous voir reprendre au plus vite car, à défaut, nous sommes affaiblis. Dans ces choses, je ne parlerai aujourd’hui que de la joie.

L’ennemi de nos âmes sait que la joie, qui fait partie de notre héritage et de notre salut, est une force pour chacun de nous. C’est pourquoi il s’évertue sans relâche à vouloir nous l’ôter. Oh que j’aime notre verset du jour. Pendant cette ascension du chemin de croix, ce poids sur nos épaules est délié et nous sommes ceints de joie. Pourtant, souvent nous continuons marchant la tête baissée, portant encore une charge qui pourtant a été ôtée par le Seigneur : nous restons dans la tristesse.

David dit dans un autre psaume : « Je ferai de Toi le sujet de ma joie et de mon allégresse, je chanterai Ton nom, Dieu très haut ! » (Psaumes 9.2). Si la joie peut venir dans nos cœurs suite à une bonne nouvelle, un bon moment partagé… celle-ci reste éphémère et David l’avait compris. Il dit « je ferai de Toi », oui je ferai du Seigneur, Celui chez qui il n’y a pas l’ombre d’une variation (Jacques 1.17), oui « je ferai de Toi le sujet de ma joie, je chanterai Ton nom ». Il nous dit aussi : « Il y a d’abondantes joies devant Ta face » (Psaumes 16.11). Il dit encore : « Quand on tourne vers Lui les regards, on est rayonnant de joie » (Psaumes 34.5).

Comme je vous le disais plus avant, l’ennemi ne supporte pas que nous ayons la joie car il sait qu’elle est une force pour notre âme et pour notre corps. Il va même parfois nous faire croire que si nous avons la joie, c’est que nous ne sommes pas en Dieu. Nous devenons ainsi des chrétiens austères, croyant être plus spirituels en ayant une attitude « grave ».

Pour d’autres, tout comme David (ah j’aime vraiment ce personnage de la Bible), ils ont vécu un échec, une chute et leur joie a disparu. Ils se sont humiliés aux pieds du Seigneur mais ils n’ont pas retrouvé leur joie. David a vécu cela et Il disait à Dieu après avoir reconnu ses transgressions : « Annonce-moi l’allégresse et la joie, et les os que tu as brisés se réjouiront » (Psaumes 51.8). Il voulait retrouver la joie de se savoir aimer, choisi. Il dit encore : « Rends-moi la joie de ton salut » (Psaumes 51.12). Oui, il désirait retrouver cette joie qui reste là ancrée dans un cœur en paix avec son Sauveur. Et qu’a fait Dieu ? Il lui a rendu cette joie. Pour en témoigner David dira un peu plus loin dans le psaume qui suit : « Je te louerai toujours parce que tu as agi » (Psaumes 52.9).

Toi qui me lis, ne te laisses plus berner. Dès aujourd’hui, tourne tes regards vers Celui qui a triomphé. Triomphé sur le péché mais aussi triomphé de nos forteresses de pensées. C’est le temps aujourd’hui de trouver ou de retrouver la joie, pas celle qui dépend de tes circonstances mais la joie d’être sauvé, la joie de Lui appartenir et de le servir. C’est le temps de reprendre le chemin de la louange, de l’adoration. Rappelle-toi que Jésus a reçu l’onction pour donner : une huile de joie au lieu du deuil, un vêtement de louange au lieu d’un esprit abattu, afin qu’on t’appelle térébinthe (homme ou femme fort) de la justice (de la vérité), une plantation de l’Éternel, pour servir à sa gloire (Ésaïe 61.3). Ne la sens-tu pas ? Cette huile coule dès maintenant.

Let's fire our drivers !

Hebrews 13.17 - Obey your leaders and have deference to them, for they watch over your souls as they should give an account ; so be it, so that they will do it with joy, and not with moaning, which would be of no benefit to you.

Today we would like to discuss a principle : authority. We see and read a lot on the net and the like, and we find that a lot of people have a misconception of authority. Indeed, there is an amalgam between authoritarianism and authority. Authoritarianism is evil and enslaving. Authority is a good thing and an important principle that we find in many areas of our life.

Let's just take the example of a couple. If authoritarianism reigns, on the side of the man, as on the side of the woman, there will be a lot of suffering and a bondage which will take away from the enslaved spouse all his personality and which will thus prevent him from flourishing. On the other hand, if the husband is filled with authority emanating from his condition as a man, authority that the Lord has given him, the woman will submit with joy and experience full development. It is the same in the Church, the body of Christ.

We hear that teachers should “fire” pastors, and all under the guise of God. While it is true that some pastors display authoritarianism and thus enslave the people of God, leaving them in no way to flourish and thus preventing them from fully entering into the plans of God, there are nevertheless shepherds filled with love. the authority of God who will teach you and allow you to grow in the things of God and to enter your own destiny !

At all times, God has chosen people to proclaim the Word, to teach, to prophesy... They could be educated people, influential, but also children, young people, men and women of humble conditions, old people. but these people were used by God to build up the body of Christ. Nobody has the science, we the first, that's why we need teachers.

We can say : “I don't need anyone, God teaches me directly”. It is true that the Spirit of God teaches us God, but He will certainly allow that we do not understand everything just to need the other given by God as apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor and teacher, even if we would have we need to be taught to redefine what these ministries really are as a first step.

If sometimes man has used God and the things of God to promote himself, it is nonetheless dangerous to reject all form of authority altogether because sooner or later we risk falling under the yoke of authoritarianism. hidden.

Virons nos conducteurs !

Hébreux 13.17 - Obéissez à vos conducteurs et ayez pour eux de la déférence, car ils veillent sur vos âmes comme devant en rendre compte ; qu’il en soit ainsi, afin qu’ils le fassent avec joie, et non en gémissant, ce qui ne vous serait d’aucun avantage.

Aujourd'hui, nous aimerions aborder un principe : l'autorité. Nous voyons et lisons beaucoup de choses sur le net et autres et nous constatons que beaucoup de personnes ont une conception de l'autorité qui est faussée. En effet, il y a un amalgame entre l'autoritarisme et l'autorité. L'autoritarisme est mauvais et asservissant. L'autorité est quelque chose de bon et un principe important que nous retrouvons dans de multiples domaines de notre vie.

Prenons juste l'exemple d'un couple. Si l'autoritarisme règne, du côté de l'homme, comme du côté de la femme, il y a aura beaucoup de souffrances et un asservissement qui enlèvera au conjoint asservi toute sa personnalité et qui l'empêchera ainsi de s'épanouir. Par contre, si l'époux est rempli d'autorité émanant de sa condition d'homme, autorité que le Seigneur lui a donnée, la femme se soumettra avec joie et vivra un plein épanouissement. Il en est de même dans l'Église, corps de Christ.

Nous entendons parler que les enseignants devraient « virer » les pasteurs, et tout cela sous le couvert de Dieu. S'il est vrai que certains pasteurs font preuve d'autoritarisme et ainsi asservissent le peuple de Dieu, ne le laissant aucunement s'épanouir et empêchant ainsi qu'il entre pleinement dans les plans de Dieu, il y a néanmoins des bergers remplis de l'autorité de Dieu qui vous enseigneront et vous permettront de grandir dans les choses de Dieu et d'entrer vous-mêmes dans votre destinée !

De tous temps, Dieu s'est choisi des gens pour annoncer la Parole, enseigner, prophétiser... Cela pouvait être des gens instruits, influents, mais aussi des enfants, des jeunes, des hommes et femmes de conditions humbles, vieillards... mais ces gens étaient utiliser par Dieu pour édifier le corps de Christ. Personne n'a la science infuse, nous les premiers, c’est pour cela que nous avons besoin d'enseignants.

Nous pouvons dire : « Je n'ai besoin de personne, Dieu m'enseigne directement ». C’est vrai que l'Esprit de Dieu nous enseigne Dieu, mais Il permettra certainement que nous ne comprenions pas tout pour justement avoir besoin de l'autre donné par Dieu comme apôtre, prophète, évangéliste, pasteur et docteur, même si nous aurions besoin déjà dans un premier temps que l’on nous enseigne à redéfinir ce que sont véritablement ces ministères.

Si parfois l'homme a utilisé Dieu et les choses de Dieu pour se promouvoir, il n'en reste pas moins dangereux de rejeter en bloc toute forme d'autorité car tôt ou tard, nous risquons de tomber sous le joug d'un autoritarisme caché.

The opposition that leads to possession !

Deuteronomy 2.30 and 31 - But Sihon, king of Heshbon, would not let us pass to him. For the Lord your God has made his spirit unyielding and hardened his heart to deliver it into your hand, as you see it today. The Lord said to me : "Look, I am now handing over Sihon and his land to you."

Let's start by setting the context for this passage. The people of Israel, led by Moses, are preparing to enter the Promised Land and must pass through some already occupied countries. The Lord allows them to pass through the lands of other peoples without conflict, but when they arrive to pass through the territory of the King of Hesbon, they face opposition. They have to cross to get to the Promised Land, but cannot cross without conflicts.

I am sure that Moses and the people of Israel would have preferred to pass peacefully without opposition. Yet the passage says that it was the Eternal Himself who hardened the heart of King Sihon and caused this opposition. The attack and the fight that follows is not something pleasant, but God allowed it for a reason : it is in order to deliver this land to the people of Israel and give them possession. To do this, the Lord made the spirit of Sihon inflexible.

God allows oppositions and conflicts to arise in our lives because he wants to give us possession of something. He wants to give us the victory so that we can seize the inheritance available in Christ. He wants to give us possession of different territories in our lives and our thoughts which are occupied by the enemy or by our false reasoning.

There is undoubtedly a trial, a conflict, an opposition right now in your life. Surely you wish that this challenge or opposition did not arise, or that it could go away. You may have even prayed several times for the Lord to remove this opposition. But listen to the Word of the Lord who says : "Look, I am now delivering this opposition and his country to you."

The opposition will come after you and you will have to fight, but the Lord will hand them over completely to you and give you complete victory, as He did for the people of Israel. Do not be discouraged in the face of opposition, confront it with the Lord to obtain the possession he has for you.

L'opposition qui mène à la possession !

Deutéronome 2.30 et 31 - Mais Sihon, roi de Hesbon, n'a pas voulu nous laisser passer chez lui. En effet, l'Éternel, ton Dieu, a rendu son esprit inflexible et a endurci son cœur afin de le livrer entre tes mains, comme tu le vois aujourd'hui. L'Éternel m'a dit : « Regarde, je te livre dès maintenant Sihon et son pays ».

Commençons par établir le contexte de ce passage. Le peuple d’Israël, dirigé par Moïse, se prépare à entrer dans la terre promise et doit traverser certains pays déjà occupés. Le Seigneur leur permet de passer aux travers des terres des autres peuples sans conflits, mais lorsqu’ils arrivent pour traverser le territoire du roi de Hesbon, ils font face à de l’opposition. Ils doivent traverser pour se rendre à la terre promise, mais ne peuvent pas traverser sans conflits.

Je suis certain que Moïse et le peuple d’Israël auraient préféré passer paisiblement sans opposition. Pourtant, le passage dit que c’est l’Éternel Lui-même qui a endurci le cœur du roi Sihon et qui a causé cette opposition. L’attaque et le combat qui suit n’est pas quelque chose d’agréable, mais Dieu l’a permis pour une raison : c’est afin de livrer ce pays au peuple d’Israël et de leur en donner la possession. Pour ce faire, l’Éternel a rendu l'esprit de Sihon inflexible.

Dieu permet que des oppositions et des conflits se présentent dans nos vies parce qu’il veut nous donner possession de quelque chose. Il veut nous donner la victoire pour que l’on saisisse l’héritage disponible en Christ. Il veut nous donner possession de différents territoires dans nos vies et nos pensées qui sont occupées par l'ennemi ou par nos faux raisonnements.

Il y a sans doute une épreuve, un conflit, une opposition en ce moment dans votre vie. Vous souhaitez sûrement que ce défi ou cette opposition ne soit pas survenu, ou bien qu’il puisse disparaître. Vous avez peut-être même prié plusieurs fois pour que le Seigneur retire cette opposition. Mais écoutez la Parole du Seigneur qui dit : « Regarde, Je te livre dès maintenant cette opposition et son pays ».

L’opposition s'attaquera à vous et il faudra combattre, mais le Seigneur la livrera complètement à vous et vous donnera une victoire complète, comme il l’a fait pour le peuple d’Israël. Ne vous découragez pas face à l’opposition, affrontez-la avec le Seigneur pour obtenir la possession qu’il a pour vous.

Did you say : complementarity ? (2)

1 Corinthians 3.6 to 8 - I planted, Apollos watered, but it was God who made it grow. Thus, it is not the one who plants nor the one who waters that counts, but God who gives the growth. The one who plants and the one who waters are equal, and each will receive their own reward according to their own work.

Yesterday, we were talking about the complementarity of departments and the importance of that. We come back to it today because we find that it is rarely put into practice in our communities or groups. The human being being what he is, it is very difficult for him to unite with others in order to serve but also to be served. We often want complementarity as long as we're at the “head” of it, you know what we mean ? However, we would like to make the difference between complementarity and delegation !

The Barnabas-Paul tandem is complementarity, the Paul-Timothy-Titus team is delegation. There is nothing wrong with a delegation, there is the visionary leader and others adhere to this vision by accepting the sine qua non of submitting to this leader. The functioning of the team is more or less “democratic”, depending on the case, but we are talking here of a relationship of subordination, of a leader who gives directives and not of complementarity.

The complementarity of the ministries is different. Each ministry is on an equal footing. Nobody takes leadership. There is mutual submission, drawing on each other's gifts and talents. Paul gives a good illustration of this in our verse of the day on his relationship with Apollos. Paul and Apollos were complementary for the building of the church of Corinth. To show this equality, let's see what Paul says again : "As for Brother Apollos, I urged him a lot to come to you with the brothers, but it was decidedly not his will..." (1 Corinthians 16.12). In short, Apollos felt the freedom to say no to Paul.

My beloved, the complementarity of ministries is extraordinarily powerful, but to get there, it requires a few elements : first, it requires real fraternal love. Then, it requires having the humility to recognize your limits and especially to see our "extension" in another, to know how to abandon our propensity to dominate others, to want to "be the greatest", to be open to opinions and to have respect for the anointing of the other, accepting to be served by another.

Let us not shut ourselves off from the riches that are in the body of Christ. Let us not hesitate to make “inquiries” in prayer on this subject and the Lord will enlighten us.

Did you say : complementarity ? (1)

Ephesians 4:11 and 12 - And he gave some as apostles, some as prophets, some as evangelists, some as pastors and teachers, for the perfecting of the saints for the work of the ministry and the building up of the body of Christ,

I would like us to think a bit about the complementarity of the departments. Each ministry has its specificity but it is not complete in itself. It is very important, if we are in the service of God, to know our sphere of service as well as our "limits". The goal being to “perfect the saints”, God calls us to equip his children in the field which is ours but... it is essential that we find other servants to balance this formation. Think of the image of someone who always strengthens his left arm but never strengthens his right arm.

I am talking about this because in many communities there is a glaring imbalance. Depending on the leadership, the community will be all for the prophetic, or all for theology, or all for evangelization, or even all for the welfare of the flock. We thus find members who are very advanced in one area, but very poor in the other.

The prophetic movement is a very good thing, but it needs solid scriptural support. The “prophet” must be able to surround himself with the “doctor”. Conversely, the doctor needs the prophetic voice for the letter to come to life. Pastoral care is great, but the initial ministry of the church is still picking up the lost even if it is uncomfortable. Conversely, if the church is always on the front line without any care, the losses will be great.

Unfortunately, what often happens is that the communities invite ministries that resemble them and the gap is not filled. My beloved, if we are responsible for a community, let us think about this. Let us have the humility to recognize our limits, let us seek our complement on the spot (the Lord has often put at our side talents which complement us), and if he is not there, let us seek the ministry which will strengthen the weak side of us. our community. Then we will reap strong men and women in the faith.

Tired ?

Matthew 11:28 - Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

There are several kinds of fatigue : physical fatigue, intellectual fatigue, mental or emotional fatigue... There is also physical fatigue due to pain which causes emotional fatigue...

If I believe that in our verse of the day, God can and will give rest to our tired bodies, even sometimes exhausted after a day of work, I believe that this verse is addressed more particularly to those who are tired and burdened by weights that cannot be seen with the naked eye !

Fatigue can be caused by an addiction that you fight against and get exhausted. Maybe you are tired of "fighting" against thoughts that harass you : that incessant fear that comes over you day after day. Are you tired of having to resist all these pains that assail you every moment ? Are you tired of all the forms of injustice that are around you, it is heavy on your shoulders but especially on your heart ? Are you tired of those people who make commitments but don't keep them ? Tired of people who have two opposing speeches and acts ? Tired of seeing some Christians behaving like sheep because it is "such" or "tell" that brings the Word, when what is said has nothing to do with what the Scriptures teach us ? Tired of praying for this child who goes astray...

Today I would like to talk about the cross : the one on which Jesus agreed to die for you and for me, the one he had to carry to Mount Golgotha, the place of the crucifixion. Imagine for a moment this cross, it must have been very heavy and very big. This cross is also heavy with meaning : it represents all the weights that we have to carry on a daily basis. Those listed above, but also those that are specific to you.

I imagine Jesus carrying that cross. Every step He took must have been painful, terrible to experience. Not only physically, because He had already suffered from the Romans a great number of blows, but also morally because He had been mocked and humiliated. That this climb must have been difficult. Reaching the top is not without suffering, without mockery, without fear. Every step taken was already a victory towards all is accomplished.

One might be tempted to say : "Jesus carried everything". Yes, however, Jesus Himself said in his Word : "If anyone wants to come after me, let him renounce himself, take up his cross every day, and follow me" (Luke 9:23). Are we coerced and forced like Simon of Cyrene was ? Certainly not, but if we want to follow Jesus, we must take charge of this cross to bring him to Golgotha.

What would that mean concretely ? That life is made of joy, blessings, healings... but also fears, suffering... that we sometimes have to carry to Golgotha, often with difficulty, being tempted to give up. However, it is up to us to carry it to the place where Jesus won everything, the place where Jesus carried everything, to finally obtain his rest and his yoke to Him who is gentle and light.

What I mean is that the path to peace, deliverance, rest... sometimes requires, if not often, a Stations of the Cross. Going with perseverance is worth it because at the end of this path is victory. Don't get beaten up by those who say : "This is not normal," but keep going up the hill. God will send you Simon of Cyrene who will help you wholeheartedly without feeling obligated to do so.

Fatigué ?

Matthieu 11.28 - Venez à moi, vous tous qui êtes fatigués et chargés, et je vous donnerai du repos.

Il y a plusieurs sortes de fatigues : la fatigue physique, la fatigue intellectuelle, la fatigue psychique ou émotionnelle... Il y a également la fatigue physique due à la douleur qui provoque une fatigue émotionnelle...

Si je crois que dans notre verset du jour, Dieu peut et veut accorder le repos à nos corps fatigués, même parfois épuisés après une journée de travail, je crois que ce verset s’adresse plus particulièrement à ceux qui sont fatigués et chargés par des poids qui ne se voient pas à l’œil nu !

La fatigue peut être due à une addiction contre laquelle tu te bagarres et tu t’épuises. Peut-être es-tu fatigué de te « battre  » contre des pensées qui t’harcèlent : cette peur incessante qui t’envahit jour après jour. Es-tu fatigué de devoir à chaque instant résister à ces douleurs qui t’assaillent ? Es-tu fatigué par toutes les formes d’injustice qui sont autour de toi, c’est lourd sur tes épaules mais surtout sur ton cœur ? Es-tu fatigué de ces personnes qui prennent des engagements mais ne les respectent pas ? Fatigué des gens qui ont deux discours et des actes opposés ? Fatigué de voir certains chrétiens se comporter comme des moutons parce que c’est « un tel » ou « une tell  » qui apporte la Parole, alors que ce qui est dit n’a rien à voir avec ce que nous enseigne l’Écriture ? Fatigué de prier pour cet enfant qui s’égare...

J’aimerais aujourd’hui parler de la croix : celle sur laquelle Jésus a accepté de mourir pour toi et pour moi, celle qu’il a dû porter jusqu’au mont Golgotha, lieu de la crucifixion. Imaginez un instant cette croix, elle devait être très lourde et très grande. Cette croix est également lourde de sens : elle représente tous ces poids que nous devons porter au quotidien. Ceux énumérés ci-dessus, mais ceux aussi qui vous sont propres.

J’imagine Jésus, portant cette croix. Chaque pas qu’Il faisait devait être douloureux, terrible à vivre. Non seulement physiquement, car Il avait déjà subi de la part des Romains un grand nombre de coups, mais aussi moralement car Il avait été moqué et humilié. Que cette montée devait être difficile. Atteindre le sommet, ne se fait pas sans souffrance, sans moquerie, sans peur. Chaque pas effectué était déjà une victoire vers le tout est accompli.

On pourrait être tenté de dire : « Jésus a tout porté ». Oui, pourtant, Jésus Lui-même dit dans sa Parole : « Si quelqu’un veut venir après moi, qu’il renonce à lui-même, qu’il se charge chaque jour de sa croix, et qu’il me suive » (Luc 9.23). Sommes-nous contraints et forcés comme l’a été Simon de Cyrène ? Certes non mais si nous voulons suivre Jésus, il nous faut nous charger de cette croix pour l’amener à Golgotha.

Cela voudrait dire quoi concrètement ? Que la vie est faite de joie, de bénédictions, de guérisons... mais aussi de peurs, de souffrances... qu’il nous faut parfois porter jusqu’à Golgotha, avec peine bien souvent, en étant tenté d’abandonner. Cependant, il nous appartient de la porter jusqu’au lieu où Jésus a tout remporté, lieu où Jésus a tout porté, pour enfin obtenir son repos et son joug à Lui qui est doux et léger.

Ce que je veux dire c’est que le chemin vers la paix, la délivrance, le repos... nécessite parfois, pour ne pas dire souvent, un chemin de croix. Y aller avec persévérance vaut la peine car au bout de ce chemin se trouve la victoire. Ne te laisse pas abattre par ceux qui disent : « Ce n’est pas normal », mais continue à gravir la colline. Dieu t’enverra des Simon de Cyrène qui eux t’aideront de bon cœur sans se sentir obligé de le faire.

Be careful, Mamon !

2 Timothy 3.2 - For men will be... friends of money.

After selfishness, here is another great evil of the century. The Greek term "philarguros" is again a contracture of "philos", friendship and "arguros", money. It does not have the sense of avarice given by certain translations but the sense of loving, as one loves a person, money and what it can provide.

We know that the majority of our society is hungry for power, sex and money. The great evils of mankind too often have their origin in the unbridled motivation of fallen man to possess. Unfortunately the Church of Jesus Christ is not exempt from some of these behaviors.

It has become difficult, even for the children of God, to put the limits of a budget. Many of them got into debt because they lived beyond their means, too often giving in to the lust of Having. Nice car, nice house, nice wardrobe, nice vacation... in short, the list goes on. To give in to these things is to make friends with money !

I'm not going to talk about "giving", I don't want to upset you, but I would still like to encourage the following reflection: on my budget, what share do I reserve for others ? I'm not talking about what is “shopping” for household members. Nor am I talking about the gifts we can give to those who will return them to us sooner or later. I am talking here about the part of a gift which is not a “lacing”, just a gesture of gratuitous love. As Jesus taught us : "Do not invite someone to your table who can give it back to you" (Luke 14.12 to 14).

The best way to get rid of our propensity to love money is to invest it in the Kingdom of God ! It is not a question here of depriving oneself of what is necessary, but of not giving in to the lusts of the century and of investing in eternal values. Mamon is a powerful idol who causes more than one to be shipwrecked in relation to faith (1 Timothy 6:10). Happy is he who overcomes.
